What is aerial mast photography? Aerial mast photography is often referred to as elevated photography, ground-based, low-level and pole photography. Pictures taken from an aerial photography mast system produce an image from a "bird's eye view" perspective.
How does aerial mast photography work? All aerial mast photography systems contain four key components: a telescopic mast, a digital camera, a remote control pan & tilt unit and a ground control unit.
Telescopic Masts Telescopic masts for this application are typically either push up or pneumatic masts. Push up masts are raised manually by pushing each section of the mast up and locking in place with a clamp. A "bird's eye view" represented picture is typically achieved at mast heights of between 7 and 15 metres.
